Conceived as a biennial festival, In Movement combines creations, short forms, and composed nights: works of different styles the aim of which consist in testifying the very lively commitment of choreographers in the contemporary universe.

In Movement has grown since its rst edition in 2012. More parties spread out over a longer period of time (1 month and 1 week) but with the constant desire of plunging at the heart of Brussels creations.

Beyond their artistic differences and various life experiences, the guest choreographers are all connected to Brussels, where they live and they work. Encounters and conferences complement the shows and initiate the debate by extending the latter to the social sphere and by specifying the challenges of contemporary dance and its role in the city.

Choreographers are the authors who, using their bodies, transpose the tumult and convulsions of an increasingly illegible and threatening world. They reinvent the world by elaborating sensible formulations of an imagination in movement. We need this gesture of invention to take back the world - and give it our love!

The 2018 edition of In Movement welcomed the Dame de Pic/Cie Karine Ponties dance company, Mauro Paccagnella & Vincent Fortemps, Erika Zueneli, Action Scénique/Claire Croizé, Meytal Blanaru, Sara Sampelayo, Youness Khoukhou, Maria Eugenia Lopez and Wim Vandekeybus.

The next edition will take place in 2020.
