The choreographer Jeanne Brouaye is organising a series of workshops for a group of women living in Brussels, to share practices and reflections on the multiple meanings of the habitat.
During the workshops, the relationship to the spaces we inhabit is examined, from the body to the shape of our homes. Together, we use our voices and bare hands to build a plural history.
Nos habitudes is a concept of nomadic workshops. A series of shared experiences offered to groups of women of all ages and origins in various ways, depending on the time available and the context. For the choreographer, it is a question of sensitively conducting a study with women on modern housing and the practices that result from it.
The first stage of this project takes place in Brussels. The project will then travel to Clermont-Ferrand and Grenoble in 2022.
The workshops in Brussels will culminate in a plastic installation that will be displayed as part of the TB2 festival, hosted by Les Brigittines and the Théâtre Les Tanneurs on 10, 11 and 12 June 2021.
The workshops are free and open to all women, no preliminary knowledge required. Group size is limited to 12.
Each participant will take part in an individual workshop with Jeanne and a group session outside. Participants will also be invited to answer - from a distance - a series of questions related to the themes. The project is conceived with the current health measures in mind.
