Drawing on his experience as a "B-boy" and as a performer in hip-hop and contemporary dance, Benoît Nieto Duran has developed a great physicality and the furious desire of a pioneer in search of other expressions. On a bare stage, like a painter's studio, his body is the blank canvas and the movement his brushes and colours. In search of a new natural geometry, like a raw material to be remodelled, by deconstructing the gestures of break-dance, he delivers – much like Proteus - a solo battle where inversions, proportions and contortions track down the gap between ugliness and beauty.
