Deep inside Elvedon, a flow beats endlessly, using the resources of repetition, bounce and progressive evolution of the movement. Based on Virginia Woolf’s novel The Waves, Christos Papadopoulos has captured and recreated the transformative force of the passing of time, with its inexorable march forward.

The performers’ rhythmic unison is concurrently meditative, hypnotic, and powerfully attractive. A haunting scansion settles in, akin to the incessant to-and-fro of the waves. The whole purpose of the performance is to use the oscillation and the rolling as a mandala where our mind projects itself, perceives itself and feels itself in an entirely personal way.
