Les Brigittines

All the shows presented at the Brigittines between 2005 and 2009 directed by filmmaker Michel Jakar are shown during a non-stop screening.

Although Michel Jakar signed fiction pieces, he made numerous films that questioned theatre, the opera, dance, music, literature and plastic arts. His films elegantly appear like accidental architectures whose many parts come together again after having been shattered into pieces, as though reality progressively gathered, its complexity acknowledged. Yet we shall never leave the imagination or its own language, logic of images where cinema stands out through its stimulating characteristics.
