Festival TB²

Choreographer Jeanne Brouaye is presenting a sculptural installation that is the culmination of a series of workshops for a group of women living in Brussels, with a view to sharing practices and reflections on the multiple meanings of the habitat. During the workshops, the participants examined the relationship to the spaces we inhabit, from the body to the shape of our homes. Together, we use our voices and bare hands to build a multi-faceted history.

Nos habitudes is a concept of nomadic workshops in Belgium and France. The first phase of the project was adapted to comply with Covid restrictions and took place in Brussels. For the choreographer, it is a question of sensitively conducting a study with women on modern housing and the practices that result from it.

"Architecture at our fingertips becomes the foundation of a reflection in which we re-appropriate our living environment. With dance, song and visual art, we lay the new foundations of our story, expand our perception and reach a consensus about our constructions of the future." Jeanne Brouaye
