Et pourtant elle tourne is a musical for young audiences that brings together works by contemporary music composers (John Cage, Astor Piazzolla, Philipp Glass, Georges Aperghis or Meredith Monk) alongside Galileo’s writing about the solar system.

Performing on a theatre set made out of paper and designed by Bertrand Saugier, Rosa Parlato and Elsa Demombynes use vocal improvisation and the gentle flute sounds to evoke an experimental, playful and poetic representation of the sights and sounds of “wonderment”.

The musical Et pourtant elle tourne is a conversation using all the senses to interact with the stars and planets, exploring what it means to observe infinity and translating this into a sound experience which invites you to listen and imagine.
