Opera is one of the fields of expression that has undergone the greatest metamorphosis in recent years, attracting composers in search of new languages, both musical and scenic. As an observer of these changes, Ars Musica is giving pride of place this season to operatic creation far from the usual clichés, with an event called Next Opera Days. The programme for this new event, which takes place biennially in odd-numbered years, explores new facets of this discipline, which brilliantly cultivates encounters with the other arts, offering new listening experiences and discoveries, challenging our senses and our preconceptions.

This first edition features three operas, two of which will be presented at Les Brigittines : 'Consensus Partium', a spoken opera by David Christoffel and Alessandro Bosetti (7 November); and 'Micromégas', an adaptation of Voltaire's philosophical tale, with a score by Line Adam, Anne Martin, Alexander Vert and Benoît Menut, libretto by Alexandre Castant (on 10 and 11 November).

It's a unique opportunity to discover a new approach to opera by new writers tackling literature, current affairs and societal issues.
