For the artists

Residencies, co-productions

If your company is officially based in Belgium or if you are an artist of the Walloon-Brussels Federation,
then the following applies to you:
Throughout the season, production resources and residencies at Les Brigittines, intended for choreographers of the Walloon-Brussels Federation - our supervisory mission - are at the disposal of creating artists for the performances we co-produce and which are then generally included in the seasonal line-ups.
In order to qualify, you must be:
  • a recognised choreographer of the Walloon-Brussels Federation
  • a non-profit organisation
  • officially based in Belgium.
Are you currently looking for partners?
Send us all the information that will allow us to learn about your current project, including your artistic file, footage, rehearsal videos, recordings of previous performances or your professional calendar.

Please bear in mind that, depending on our work schedule and considering the large number of applications we receive, it may take several weeks before we get back to you.
Are you looking for an artistic residency at Les Brigittines?
- Our residencies are primarily intended for the artists whose co-productions we take care of and who are included in our seasonal line-up (see above)
- You can submit an application to our partner workspacebrussels with whom we organise artistic residencies other than those included in our programming.

Welcome during the season and programming

Les Brigittines' seasonal line-up is made up of choreographers from the Walloon-Brussels Federation and the Flemish Community.
Most shows programmed during the season are presented 3 to 5 times and are supported in preparation of these shows in the form of co-production and residencies.
We also present creations that we have already seen beforehand.
If you are a Belgian artist and your work has already been shown,
then send us the information that will allow us to get to know your work, including invitations, calendar, artistic file or recording images.

If you are an artist but not based in Belgium,
we would refer you to the "International Festival" section.
Please bear in mind that, depending on our work schedule and considering the large number of applications we receive, it may take several weeks before we get back to you.

International Festival

Our programming for foreign artists is organised around our International Festival in August. Each year a theme is launched around which suggestive, personal, alienating or unusual creations are brought into dialogue with each other.
The artists invited to the Festival present work that has been created before, and which we had the opportunity of discovering in advance during their tours.

Discover the artistic themes and artists who have already featured in the previous editions by clicking this link: (https://www.brigittines.be/fr/festival-international/edition-2022)
Throughout the year, you can send us information related to projects you are on tour with, including artistic files, your tour calendar or recording images.
We will go through all the information and will definitely get back to you as soon as an opportunity to collaborate arises.

Music programme

Since our centre is dedicated to choreography, we do not organise concerts or music formats of any kind ourselves.
The concerts that take place within our walls are the fruit of collaborations with other centres, such as Bozar, Ars Musica, Ictus, Listen Festival or Festival Artonov to whom we are happy to open our doors. These centres follow their own artistic lines and propose programmes in consultation with our management.
