Choreographer, dancer and teacher Agostina D’Alessandro has a passion for choreographed ensembles, the fluidity of bodies and the gentleness of presence.

In The Nature of Intimacy, she brings together four dancers, a soprano singer, and two musicians around the work of Francesca Caccini, a 17th century Italian composer and singer. Transported by the beauty of the vocal writing, each gesture becomes a caress, and each palm turns into an offering.

The ambition of this moment of suspended time is nothing less than a torch-lit visit into our secret and precious intimacies, in an uninterrupted dialogue between the past and the present.
