After Happy Hour and El Pueblo unido jamás será vencido, partners Mauro Paccagnella and Alessandro Bernardeschi close their Trilogy on Memory, also called The Trilogy of the Fifty-somethings, with Closing Party. End, out of breath, completion, or even perhaps a new start. This polysemous closing party imagines a time that is simultaneously melancholic and happy. Written for two, the work presents characters and performers at the same time, with all the density and lightness that this tandem has built and shared over the years. In it, they delve into themes that are dear to them: the passage of time and changing bodies, as well as dance, a farewell waltz.

Closing Party also invites Bach and the Velvet Underground, Proust and the Mediterranean, the arrival of fascism, and migrants - among many, many other attractions. Intimate memories, collective memory, political conscience: definitely their groove.
