Amsterdam-based Japanese artist Yurie Umamoto keeps a beautiful balance between visual art and dance. ‘HRXLPNCX.C’ is an ongoing performanceinstallation inspired by synesthesia – the perceptual phenomenon in which one type of stimulation evokes the sensation of another, such as when a person hears a sound and perceives a color. When you walk through her synesthetic universe, you will not only submerge in its atmosphere, its imagery will also absorb your every step. You become part of the installation as an autonomous prism that reflects the elements of the whole.
