Committing oneself entirely to a quest for balance.

In this performance, anything seems possible: both the ascent and the fall, the quest for lightness and playing with gravity. Because NONOBSTANT is a challenge, with the instability of the ground as its starting point.
A moonscape, a dancer-acrobat skilled in the delicate art of hand-balancing: the body is put to the test. It clings on to hold on, contorts itself, reels from one side to the other. Images flash before us in this soulful, ever-shifting choreography, moving to the subtle rhythm of the harpsichord.

In this solo for one dancer and loose soil, Jean-Baptiste André returns to his love for the handstand, the foundation of his dance practice. This game of equilibrium, intertwined with movement, offers a wealth of material for a choreographic result full of surprise.
