Flee or become, like smoke.

Coming face to face with a giant rabbit on the run is not an everyday occurrence.
But soon, the illusion slips, and the dancer reveals the man beneath the fur. That’s when the true journey begins: welcome to the parallel universe of SMOKE.
Where is he, what is he doing, where is he going? So many questions remain unanswered, as meaning is not given but must be discovered.
SMOKE is a mental space, a suspended realm swirling with elusive, untameable vapours.
It is a murky metaphor for the undefinable, for all that escapes the grasp—appearing, vanishing, hovering between substance and shadow. In this dreamscape—or perhaps nightmare—dancer David Zagari is nothing short of mesmerizing.

This latest show by the Swiss choreographer and festival regular is built on an ingenious scenography, where the smoke itself paints images—strange, singular and sumptuous.
